“Quiet Reflection” was created by Amy Peterson of Sandpoint, Idaho. Amy captured it during one of her photography workshops at the Western Pleasure Guest Ranch in Northern Idaho. A few days before it was taken, Amy scouted this quiet creek nestled beneath a rock canyon and was drawn to its peacefulness. The morning light skimming the timber rim without ever fully touching the water below created a soft and balanced light. That morning, Kelly Whitney, one of the wranglers, rode a palomino Appaloosa, a nod to both the heritage and history of the area. As she moved through the creek, they photographed a variety of scenes, but this one stood out. Amy Peterson is a Master-Craftsman and CPP and earned a Texas Associate Fellowship with Texas PPA.
