“The Gentleman Beggar” was created by David Downs of Plano, Texas, during a trip to Rome. “I was hurrying along the sidewalk and rushed by an elderly man with a significant beard standing quietly in a small alcove with his hat in his hand. Something about him resonated in my mind and so I listened to the call of my inner voice,” David explains. Read more about David Downs on page 6.
