“Sheer Elegance” was created by Jeremy Ridout, M.Photog.Cr., of Frisco, Texas. It was his first bridal portrait and the first session in his new studio. “There were a lot of moving parts that had to come together: hair & makeup appointments, the florist was making a replica bouquet, and Mom had driven halfway across Texas to get the pearl bracelet from Grandma. Plus, it had to be painted and framed before the Big Day just over a month away. Yeah, I was feeling some pressure,” he explains. Jeremy used a main, on-axis fill, and a hair light. “She wanted the veil, but I didn’t want to make a traditional ‘bride wearing a veil’ picture, so we carefully laid the veil over the chair instead. I think it worked quite nicely.”
