October 15-17 – Grapevine, TX  “iHeart Photography Conference & Expo” hosted by Texas PPA

The iHeart Photography Conference and Expo returns to Grapevine, October 15-17.  It all takes place at the Grapevine Convention Center in the heart of Dallas/Ft. Worth.

The conference features three days of programming for professional photographers and photographic enthusiasts.  Programs are offered to foster photographic creativity and inspiration as well as improving photographic skills and camera technique. Program topics include everything from Creating Stylized Portraits to advanced Photoshop Composting Techniques. The programs also include Senior Portrait Photography, Fine Art Children’s Portraits, as well as Landscape Photography and much more.

Speakers include one of the industry’s most awarded photographic artists, Richard Sturdevant, from Loretto, Tennessee.  Richard is a leading expert in photographic artistry and creative composites.  He made history with PPA for having the highest print case ever scored in the USA, receiving a perfect 100 score on each of his four images.

Also featured is the talented Shannon Squires from Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Shannon is turning heads in the industry with her creative, stylized portraits and her stunning post-production creativity on her line of fine art photographs.  Participants will have the opportunity to photograph on location with Shannon.  She is also teaching a hands-on program to share her editing and finishing techniques.

The conference is also pleased to feature nationally recognized senior portrait photographer, Dr. Tomayia Colvin.  She will share how she creates senior portraits that stand out from the crowd.  Her program is sponsored by Sony.

The iHeart Photography Conference will be bringing back the popular hands-on excursions on Friday where participants go on location with a speaker to photograph in a variety of interesting locations.  These excursions have proven to be very popular and sell out fast.

This year’s event is supported by industry vendors who will be exhibiting at the iHeart Photography Expo.  Vendors already committed to attending include: Arlington Camera, X-rite, Panasonic, Sony, Canon, Sekonic, US Camera Pro, FujiFilm USA, the Texas School of Professional Photography and many more.  The trade show is included in your iHeart Photography registration and non-attendees can obtain special “Tradeshow Only” passes from the event website.
