“Center of Attention” was created by Ron Castle of Del Rio, Texas, for one of his realtor clients. Ron used an interior photography technique known in real estate photography circles as “flambient.” This involves first making a single ambient exposure of the location and then combining it in Photoshop with one or more flash exposures to clean up color casts and bring out the real color in the scene. A hand held flash was used to illuminate the kitchen area from the camera position and then Ron set his 10 second timer in order to carry his flash to the farthest area of the living room for another exposure. The image made the PPA Loan Collection in 2018.
