My Pride and Joy” was created by Judy Reinford of Allentown, Pennsylvania, while visiting a friend’s farm. Judy wanted to depict the interaction between mother sheep and their lambs. “I had my camera set at a high shutter speed because of the movement of some of the other animals on the farm but I had planned on creating a painting anyway,” she explains. The image was taken with a Sony A9 and won a Trophy for Best Portrait of an Animal at the 2023 TPPA Image Competition.
